This needle-felted wool picture was crafted by hand by Pat at The Crafty Pebblers Studio in Pebblewood, Ireland. It captures a quiet moment between a girl and her dog, sitting together on the beach, watching the sun set over the sea.
The sky is made from softly blended tones of rust, red, orange, and yellow, with deep blue merino wool forming the sea. For texture and depth, locally sourced Bluefaced Leicester locks were used in the waves, and coarse wool creates a natural look for the sand and rocks.
The girl wears yellow trousers and a cream jumper, with a red flower and band in her ponytail. Her arm rests around her brown dog, who sits calmly at her side with a red collar - a gentle, comforting scene.
Once completed, the wool picture was carefully mounted onto a 21cm round wooden plate with a lip. A hook is attached at the back for easy hanging, and The Crafty Pebblers logo is wood-burned into the reverse as a quiet mark of origin.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece of wall art - made slowly, with care, and grounded in natural materials and storytelling.
