This handmade wood snowman is carefully turned by Joe from solid wood, allowing the natural grain, knots, and tonal variations of the timber to remain visible and central to the piece.
Each section is shaped individually on the lathe, giving the snowman its softly rounded form and simple, friendly character. A hand-turned wooden hat and natural hazel twig arms complete the design, keeping the overall look warm, understated, and timeless.
The snowman is mounted on a solid slice of wood with the bark edge intact, making every piece unique. Variations in grain, colour, and form are a natural part of working with wood and are embraced as part of the finished piece.
